PETALING JAYA (June 1): The Malaysian government must pay compensation if it decides to cancel its infrastructure projects involving Chinese funding and contractors, warned Chinese daily Global Times.

KUALA LUMPUR (May 31): The move to scrap the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) “should not be seen as a move to spite Singapore”, according to analysts who spoke to the daily Today.  

The Pekan MP said on his Facebook page that the project could also have created 110,000 jobs at the outset, increasing to 442,000 employment opportunities by the same year.
