Binasat Communications Bhd’s unit has secured an RM18.36 million subcontract work to build a large scale solar photovoltaic facility in Selangor for Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned unit of newly-listed Sunview Group Bhd.

The 61-year-old was redesignated as MD in May 2019, two months after the demise of his elder brother Koh Seng Kar @ Koh Hai Siew, who founded the group in the 1980s.

Nestcon said the 41-month contract was awarded by Armada Istimewa Sdn Bhd for undertaking the construction and completion of earthworks, piling and pile caps, retaining wall, substructure, main building works and infrastructure works for the project.

The new CEO, Rosmin Mohamed, was previously employed by the group's substantial shareholder Sime Darby Property Bhd. 

The corporate exercise will involve issuance of up to 965.4 million rights shares and up to 579.24 million warrants, whose exercise price is fixed at 20 sen each.

Majuperak Holdings Bhd has decided to dispose of a 134.2-hectare leasehold land in Perak to a wholly-owned unit of the state’s agricultural development agency for RM9.53 million as a debt settlement.  

“Existing controls by immigration on entry of foreigners will be tightened further, and it is not targeting any specific nation. All nationalities, especially from countries with higher infection, be it the US or China, we will monitor.”

Gamuda said these land acquisitions are synergistic to the group since they are located next to its existing 810-acre Gamuda Gardens township in north Sungai Buloh. 

The contract will span 39 months from May 5, 2023 to Aug 4, 2026.

TAFI Industries Bhd's unit has secured a RM205 million contract to build 941 units of Small Office Home Office (Soho) and related facilities in Subang Jaya, Selangor for the project's main contractor, Metbuild Sdn Bhd.
