Sri Ram should not act for law firm sued by 1MDB – former Malaysian Bar president

KUALA LUMPUR (June 22): Former Malaysian Bar president Manjeet Singh Dhillon has written to Attorney General (AG) Tan Sri Idrus Harun and Malaysian Bar president AG Kalidas about his concerns over former Federal Court judge Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram representing law firm Wong & Partners in relation to a civil suit against the firm, while he is also involved in the prosecution of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) cases.

KUALA LUMPUR (June 12): Penang-born fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho (Jho Low) (pictured) and rapper Prakazrel "Pras" Michel were on Thursday charged in the US District of Columbia with orchestrating an unregistered, back-channel campaign in 2017 linked to former US president Donald Trump to have investigations related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) be dropped, and to send a Chinese dissident back to China.
