PETALING JAYA (July 8): The proposed acquisition of four toll concessionaires will save billions of ringgit for taxpayers and highway users, while providing shareholders of the toll concessionaires a limited but reasonable return on their investment to ensure the stability of the fragile financial markets The finance minister issued two separate statements on June 22 and 26,  2019 to explain the benefits and rationale of the proposed offer to acquire four highway concessionaires (LDP, SPRINT, Kesas and SMART) by the government.
