The development, to span seven years from end-2024, will see the construction of 338 affordable housing units, 1,680 residential units, service apartments, as well as retail shops and offices.
Kerjaya’s construction division is primarily involved in the building of high-rise residential and commercial buildings for premium developer clients in Malaysia.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, Kerjaya Prospek said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd (KP), has served a writ of summons and statement of claim to Yong Tai and Datuk Boo Kuang Loon.
According to the group's latest annual report, Joanne Lee Sor Phaik was appointed to the position on July 13, 2023.
Year-to-date, Kerjaya Prospek has won contracts worth RM1.
Yong Tai contends that the claims by Kerjaya Prospek are without merit, arguing that Kerjaya Prospek breached fundamental terms of the contract by failing to complete the work on time and not adhering to the specified scope of work.
