'Utusan will live on,' says executive chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): Utusan Malaysia, the oldest Malay-language newspaper in the country, will carry on despite the operational shutdown of its former holding company Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd today, says the latter's executive chairman Datuk Abd Aziz Sheikh Fadzir.

Country Group Securities linked to Jho Low’s father, says defence

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): The defence in Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak’s 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) trial has revealed that Thailand-based Country Group Securities Pcl, which was involved in the flipping of a RM5 billion Islamic medium term notes (IMTN) issued by the fund in 2009, is linked to Tan Sri Larry Low Hock Peng — the father of fugitive Low Taek Jho.
