PETALING JAYA (Nov 14): Some 200 participants, consisting of property developers and property managers, turned up early on a Thursday morning to listen to what key industry stakeholders have to say on a review of the Strata Management Act 2013. They came as early as 8:30am. More chairs had to be added to accommodate them all!

The EdgeProp.my Fireside Chat on Strata Management Act 2013 review: When? was organised by EdgeProp.my and was held at Wisma Rehda.

Industry stakeholders who made up the panel included the president of the Building Association of Malaysia (BMAM) Tan Sri Teo Chiang Kok, president of the Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) Malaysia Datuk Soam Heng Choon, president of the Malaysian Institute of Property & Facility Managers (MIPFM) Adzman Shah Mohd Ariffin and founder and managing partner of Chur Associates, Chris Tan.

Managing director and editor-in-chief of EdgeProp Malaysia Au Foong Yee served as moderator.

After the panel, participants witnessed the launch of Strata OMG 2.0 - Owner’s Manual & Guidebook, a joint collaboration between EdgeProp Malaysia and Chur Associates.

Fresh off the print, the participants were among the first to bring home a complimentary copy of the guidebook.
