Amanah Harta Tanah PNB appoints Idris bin Kechot as director

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Harta Tanah PNB, in its filing to Bursa on Friday, July 16, has appointed Idris bin Kechot as a director effective March 3, 2010. Idris is also a director of Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd, Amanah Capital Malaysia Bhd and Amanah Mutual Bhd.

The 55-year-old Idris graduated from University of Stirling in the United Kingdom, with a Masters of Business Administration (Finance) and among the positions he has held are senior general manager (investment division), executive vice president, deputy president (unit trust division) for Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB).

The Securities Commission granted the exemption, which allows Idris to be a director in another management company, on July 13.
