KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 16): UDA Holdings Bhd and Tradewinds Corp Bhd will redevelop the Bukit Bintang Plaza (BB Plaza) shopping centre into an ultra-moden area to keep up with the rapid development in surrounding areas, according to a Bernama report.

Bernama reported UDA as saying that the redevelopment is also in line with the government’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) under which Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley are the main drivers of the nation's economy.

The plan, comprising the construction of commercial spaces, serviced apartments and shopping centres, will also create more job and business opportunities.

UDA said it has also resolved several issues with tenants, including meeting Mass Rapit Transit Corp over the effect of the MRT project on their business.
