KUALA LUMPUR: TSSB-BPSD JV — a 60:40 joint venture between Tim Sekata Sdn Bhd ("TSSB") and Bina Puri Sdn Bhd ("BPSD"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd — has secured two new projects worth RM47.16 million.

The first project entails the construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan Subang Bestari 2 for RM19.10 million, which is expected to be completed in the next 13 months. The second project is for the construction of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Tinggi worth RM28.08 million, which is due for completion in 18 months.

Both projects were awarded by the Ministry of Education.

Bina Puri group managing director Senator Tan Sri Tee Hock Seng said: "Our expertise and track record in delivering quality projects on time have featured prominently with the award of these projects amidst stiff competition in the construction sector.

"To date, we have secured projects worth over RM100 million in 2011. In the coming months, we hope to secure more jobs both locally and overseas. With these two projects, our current order book stands at RM2.5 billion which will contribute positively to our earnings in the next 24 months."

Bina Puri is a construction company, specialising mainly in civil engineering and building works. For property development, Bina Puri developed the 139-acre Bukit Idaman Township in Selayang, as well as other niche developments in the Klang Valley, including Cheras, Puchong and Sungai Buloh.
