By states and federal territories, the Klang Valley had the highest percentage in terms of the adult population that had been fully vaccinated at 111.6% (6,884,266 individuals), followed by Labuan (98.7% with 69,277 individuals completing their two-dose vaccination) and Negeri Sembilan (97.8% with 798,093 individuals fully inoculated).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he understood the feelings of the people who wanted to return to their hometowns to visit their parents and that the good news would be announced once the  vaccination rate reached 90% for adults.

Among the 109 deaths, 33 were brought-in-dead cases. 

Sarawak led the list with 1,418 new cases, followed by Selangor (1,000), Johor (981) Terengganu (827) and Kelantan (796).
