LRT ridership will have a significant increase in 2025 with the opening of LRT Shah Alam or LRT 3 to serve one of the densest corridors in the Klang Valley, and expected to cater to over two million people.
In a note on Thursday (July 20), the research house said this was after the higher job flows from the private sector valued at RM39 billion in the first half of 2023 (1H2023) versus the public sector at RM9 billion in the same period, with the number of new applications for construction personnel reaching 151,500 applications in 1H2023, according to the Construction Industry Development Board’s data.
All the contracts were awarded to the group's 60%-owned unit, Trackwork & Supplies Sdn Bhd, said AWC in bourse filings.
