Umno lawyer disputes prosecution claim RM20 million returned to Najib

KUALA LUMPUR (March 16): A lawyer from UMNO yesterday disputed the prosecution's assertion that former CIMB chairman Datuk Seri Nazir Razak had purportedly helped to cash in three cheques totalling RM20 million from his older brother Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who was then the country's prime minister and chairman of 1Malaysia Development Bhd's (1MDB) advisory board, and given the money back to Najib.

High Court allows Najib to inspect seized items worth RM680m

KUALA LUMPUR (June 10): The High Court today has allowed an application by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak to inspect close to 12,000 pieces of jewellery, 300 handbags and other valuables which were seized by police shortly after the 14th general election in 2018.

OBYU awaits decision on its representation

KUALA LUMPUR (March 12): The High Court was yesterday informed that the prosecution is considering a representation relating to asset forfeiture made by OBYU Holdings Sdn Bhd, the owner of several condos at Pavilion Residences, where more than RM680 million worth of valuable items said to belong to Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, were kept and are subject to forfeiture.
