In a note, Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd said it is optimistic about KLCCP's prospects in the upcoming quarters, bolstered by the office division's robust 100% occupancy rate as of end-December 2023, increase in hotel operation’s occupancy ratio from 52% to 55%, and improved performance in the management services due to the rise in transient and season car park customers.
The contract, effective immediately, is slated for an eight- month duration with a completion date set for Oct 6, 2024.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, the construction company said the contract, awarded by Chingsan Development Sdn Bhd, is expected to contribute positively to its revenue and earnings from the financial year ending June 30, 2024 onwards.
The group — comprising KLCC Property Holdings Bhd and KLCC Real Estate Investment Trust — saw quarterly revenue grow 7.
“The final award has no operational or financial implications for the respondent, and if the amounts awarded to the respondent (FGV Plantations) thereunder are recovered from the claimant (Multazam), such amounts received may be expected to contribute positively to [FGV Plantations’] earnings,” FGV noted in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
YTL REIT boasts a total of 10 hotel properties in Malaysia, including hotel chains such as JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur and The Ritz Carlton Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
