PETALING JAYA (May 5): Genting Singapore and Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) unveiled the new Genting Hotel Jurong, located along Jurong Town Hall Road in Jurong Lake District, Singapore on April 30. The hotel is RWS’ seventh development in Singapore.

“Genting Hotel Jurong will boost RWS’ room inventory significantly and form part of our business strategy to drive greater visitorship to RWS. It also allows us to be part of the exciting transformation that is taking place at the Jurong Lake District.

"Designed for both leisure and business travellers, we are confident that this functional and eco-friendly hotel will continue to garner the enthusiastic interest that it has received so far,” said Chow Keng Hai, vice-president of rooms, RWS.

With its sleek architecture and clean furnishings, the hotel features three room types – superior rooms, deluxe rooms and suites. Each room has complimentary WiFi access, flat screen TV, USB charging sockets and share amenities such as a self-service laundromat, a gym, a swimming pool and the hotel’s Festive café.

A key component in the design of Genting Hotel Jurong is its “hotel in a garden” concept, in keeping with the lush greenery surrounding the Jurong Lake. The hotel’s facade is mostly facing north and south directions to minimise heat gain. As part of the hotel’s green efforts, a rainwater collection system has been implemented in the development.

Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions facilities in Genting Hotel Jurong include the Genting Ballroom – a 426 sq m, pillar-less ballroom that hosts a capacity of up to 300 guests and five meeting rooms – to accommodate various events. The hotel features a sky lounge located at the roof-top with an adjoining lawn for more intimate receptions and parties.

Within the hotel’s vicinity is the International Business Park, the Jurong East Bus Terminal and Mass Rapid Transit station, as well as shopping malls. Genting Hotel Jurong is only a 15-minute drive from the Tuas Checkpoint, a 25-minute drive from RWS and a 40-minute drive from Changi International Airport.

In conjunction with RWS’s fifth anniversary and Genting Hotel Jurong’s opening, RWS is running a joint promotion with low-cost airline, Tigerair. Until June 30, 2015, guests can book the lowest fare to Singapore on Tigerair and enjoy exclusive, but limited, Genting Hotel Jurong room rates at just S$5 nett (RM13.50), and other benefits.
