KUALA LUMPUR: Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd deputy managing director Lee Wee Yong has resigned from his position, the group announced on Bursa Malaysia on Friday, Oct 22.

The 62-year-old was appointed to his post on March 31, 2005. Prior to his appointment, he was appointed as a non-independent, non-executive director of the group on March 12, 2002, before he was redesignated as an executive director on March 25, 2005. 

He has a 0.009% stake in Main Market-listed Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Bhd.

Lee is also a non-independent non-executive director of Malaysian Mosaics Bhd.

The group did not say who would succeed him as deputy managing director of Hap Seng.
