He repeated this three times during questioning by deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Saifuddin Hashim Musaimi about payments of RM27 million and RM5 million on Dec 26, 2014 and a payment of RM10 million made on Feb 10, 2015.

"The reason for the transfer is recorded as 'CSR (corporate social responsibility) programmes'. I recognised the remittance form as I prepared the document," the witness said.

The prominent lawyer had handed over his passport in September last year after he claimed trial to four counts of money laundering in connection with a RM9.5 million payment from former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

According to the amended charge sheet, Rosmah, who is the wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, was alleged to have received RM5 million from Saidi Abang Samsudin, 59, the managing director of Jepak Holdings Sdn Bhd through her former aide Datuk Rizal Mansor.

Halijah verified a total of 16 transactions involving the above-mentioned parties over eight days — in July, August, December 2014, and January 2015.

 

Rosmah is facing 17 charges under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

Testifying before the court for the SRC International Sdn Bhd hearing today, the trial's 27th prosecution witness deputy accountant at the Prime Minister's Department, Putrajaya, Zarina Yusuf said Najib's last drawn salary in May 2018 was RM1,017,014.39.
