KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Selangor Dredging Bhd (SDB) has recorded a 125% rise in net profit for the first quarter ended March 31,2010 to RM10.358 million from RM4.6 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenue went up by 54.1% to RM66.218 million in the quarter under review from RM42.969 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: A & M Realty Bhd has recorded a 323.3% rise in net profit for the quarter ending March 31,2010 to RM2.235 million compared with RM528,000 from the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenue was up 61.2% to RM33.790 million in the quarter under review versus RM20.966 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: UEM Land Holdings Bhd (UEM Land) saw its net profit increase 19.4% for the first quarter of 2010 ended March 31, 2010 to RM3.142 million from RM2.631 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago. However, revenue collected in the quarter under review dropped by 30% to RM39.699 million from RM56.511 million in the first quarter last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: Construction group Naim Holdings Bhd (Naim)'s net profit dropped by 11% to RM13.993 million for the first quarter ending March 31, 2010 from RM15.848 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Revenue on the other hand rose 29.4% in the quarter under review to RM123.353 million from RM95.307 million recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: The rising cost of building and construction materials in Asia is still at a manageable level, said the Master Builders Association of Malaysia (MBAM).

KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Goodyear Bhd (BG) recorded a loss of of RM909,000 in the third quarter of 2010 ended March 31, 2010 compared with a loss of RM4.717 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

It also reported a 26.38% drop in revenue with a collection of RM67.231 million for the quarter under review versus RM91.324 million from the same period last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: MajuPerak Holdings Bhd performance for the first quarter ending March 31, 2010 recorded a net profit of 63.75% with RM393,000 compared with RM240,000 in the corresponding quarter a year ago. The Group’s revenue rose 60.61% over the first quarter of 2010, recording RM3.087 million versus RM1.922 million.

KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak-based Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) has achieved a 30% increase in net profit for the first quarter ending March 31, 2010 with RM13.541 million compared with RM10.419 million in the corresponding quarter in 2009. Revenue collected during the quarter under review was up 19% to RM92.406 compared with RM77.878 million in 1Q 2009.
