PETALING JAYA (Jan 12): There needs to be clarification on certain issues arising from the new property managers regulations under the recently-amended Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Act 1981, said lawyer Chris Tan.
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 11): With the amendment to the Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Act 1981 that was passed on Oct 17, 2017 and gazetted Jan 2, 2018, property managers are now required to register themselves with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP).

NEWLY appointed Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH) director general Dr Rahah Ismail is certainly qualified for the job. Having taken over from Datuk Faizan Abdul Rahman in October last year, Rahah is not only a valuer by training and profession, she also holds a doctorate degree in Housing Development and Finance, a master’s degree in Urban Land Appraisal and a bachelor’s degree in Surveying (Property Management).
