Altantuya murder: Najib may file application to expunge Azilah's affidavit

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 8): Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak (pictured) may file an application to expunge ex-chief inspector Azilah Hadri’s affidavit involving the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006 after the Federal Court today dismissed Azilah’s bid to set aside his (Azilah’s) conviction and death sentence, according to Najib’s lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

FINMA cuts BSI Bank's 1MDB penalty to 70 million Swiss francs

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 23): The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has reduced the amount of money to be confiscated from BSI Bank to 70 million Swiss francs, from the original 95 million francs after reassessing the disgorgement of profit in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) enforcement case against the bank.
