Batu Caves have been making headlines recently.

Following reports that the multimillion ringgit painting and renovation works at Batu Caves were not sanctioned by the National Heritage Department, and that their heritage site status might be revoked, the temple responded by saying they do not need the heritage status. Read that story here.

Much publicised was the freshly painted historical 272-steps that now look like a rainbow staircase.
