KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 29): Pintaras Jaya Bhd’s unit, Pintaras Geotechnics Sdn Bhd, has bagged a RM67.6 million contract from I-Bhd for the provision of earthworks and piling works.

In a bourse filing, Pintaras Jaya said the contract is to provide earthworks, piling and substructure works for the Central Tower Project in I-City, Shah Alam, Selangor. The Central Tower Project comprises the DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam hotel, residential serviced suites and signature offices.

The Central Tower Project and CentralPlaza Mall are a joint venture between I-Bhd and Central Group of Thailand.

Pintaras Jaya said the contract, valued at RM67.6 million, should be completed in 14 months. It also brings the total value of contracts it has secured from I-Bhd to RM140.4 million.

I-Bhd is the master developer of I-City, a 72-acre (29.14ha) freehold integrated mixed project with a gross development value of RM9 billion.

Pintaras Jaya expects the contract to contribute positively to its future earnings.
