Court of Appeal dismisses Zahid's bid to consolidate CBT charges

PUTRAJAYA (June 23): The Court of Appeal has dismissed former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's application to consolidate his 12 criminal breach of trust (CBT) charges to just three charges in his trial for misappropriation of funds belonging to Yayasan Akalbudi.

AGC to appeal against return of alleged 1MDB money to Umno, three others

KUALA LUMPUR (June 23): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said today the Attorney General's Chambers' (AGC) prosecution team will file an appeal against the High Court’s decision to dismiss the stay application by the prosecution to hold the return of some RM194 million worth of alleged 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB)-linked money to Umno, Wanita MCA, Binsabi Sdn Bhd and Perano Sdn Bhd.
