“在学习插花的时候，花给了我很大的启发。一朵小小的花却有着丰富的内涵，它们有不同的颜色、香味和形状。它们如此渺小，却又如此独特。” 这一番话出自大马花艺师Eunice Teo口中，她是东南亚首位获得American Institute of Floral Designer （美国花艺设计师协会，简称AIFD）评审认证的花艺设计师。 她于2013年通过一连串的AIFD评审资格测试，并在2014年成为了东南亚首位获得该荣誉的花艺设计师。 2016年7月，Teo更受邀前往AIFD在美国加州举办的座谈会，现场展现她的作品。 “我在座谈会呈现了11件作品。作品灵感自于马来西亚的人事物，例如传统风筝、纱笼、中国铜钱及具有我国多远文化特色的东西。我将它们在国际舞台上呈现，并告诉人们，我来自哪里。” 谈及本身所达到的成就，Teo笑言已远超24年前入行时的想象。 “当初的我，完全无法想象今天会有这样的成就。当年我仅以RM40就开始我的花艺事业，一直以来我把这当成我的兴趣在经营。所以，兴趣和热忱是很重要的，它能够引领你到无法想象的舞台上。” 她表示，成为一位花艺设计师不一定需要创意和艺术感，而是兴趣。 “首要条件是你必须爱花。只要你对花朵有浓厚的兴趣，你自然而然会想把这些花朵呈现得更美丽。” Teo也和TheEdgeProperty.
