Kajang Municipal Council targets illegal structures

MPKj president Najmuddin Jemain:  Among the offences committed by the owners under the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 were putting up awnings for parking and fences in common areas, building garages and stores as well as extending their homes into common areas KAJANG (Aug 26): The Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) has warned that it “would not hesitate to take action” against property owners who build structures on common areas.

DBKL: The public can help monitor for illegal extensions in their neighbourhoods

Building Control Department: If you suspect that your neighbour’s renovation has gone beyond the limit, you can come to our office at DBKL Menara 2 in Jalan Raja Laut and request to see the renovation plan KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 19): Members of the public can help Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) curb any home renovations which may have “have deviated from the original building plan”.
