Country View’s earnings up five times

KUALA LUMPUR: Country View Bhd’s net profit for the first half ended June 30, 2012 rose 524% to RM14.48 million or 14.48 sen a share, from RM2.32 million a year ago.

Revenue increased to RM84.67 million from RM30.49 million previously. The property developer said the better performance came from the increase in sales of residential properties and three-storey shop offices in Taman Nusa Sentral in Johor.

“The positive result is also due to the higher percentage of completion recognised for all properties under development in Taman Nusa Sentral as well as the bungalow units at Residence at the Peak,” it said.
