Cabrits Resort Kempinski Dominica

(OCT 21): Cabrits Resort Kempinski Dominica, a luxury hotel in Douglas Bay in Cabrits, will be the first government-approved real estate project under the Citizenship by Investment programme of the Commonwealth of Dominica, under which investors who purchase a share in the development for US$220,000 will be able to obtain citizenship of the country.

Aimed at encouraging substantial investment projects in Dominica, the Citizenship by Investment programme allows investors to not only have a chance to invest, but receive citizenship of the country with all the benefits of full citizenship, assuming they meet certain requirements.

Cabrits Resort Kempinski Dominica is the second major development of Range Developments in the Caribbean. The 160-room hotel, which is set to be Kempinski’s first luxury hotel project in Dominica, will be located on the north shore of the island, and adjacent to the Cabrits National Park.

“We are delighted to be working with the government of Dominica and using its Citizenship by Investment programme,” said Range Developments vice-chairman Mohammed Asaria in a press statement recently.

“We are delighted to have been selected to manage this exciting new luxury hotel project by Range Developments,” Kempinski Hotels Europe president Xavier Destribats remarked. “We’re particularly appreciative of the unspoiled beauty and natural heritage of Dominica and the generous hospitality of Dominicans.”

Cabrits National Park, located next to the resort, is known for its eco-tourism attractions, with 365 rivers, waterfalls and hot springs. The resort’s design is set to ensure a natural balance between land and sea, while promising a contemporary guest experience.

Kempinski Hotels is Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group with a portfolio of 76 five-star hotels in 31 countries. It is a founding member of the Global Hotel Alliance, while Range Developments is an award-winning international property company focused on hotel resorts in the Caribbean.

Cabrits Resort Kempinski Dominica’s groundbreaking ceremony today was marked by the attendance of Dominican president Charles Angelo Savarin, his wife Mrs Savarin, acting prime minister Rayburn Blackmoore, members of the cabinet, Range Developments principals and Kempinski Hotels executives.
