Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim suggested that local authorities follow the example of Petaling Jaya City Council (MPBJ) which implemented online Ramadan bazaar registration, thus increasing transparency and reducing the cost burden on traders.

The 18 families from Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru had their badly damaged homes rebuilt by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), via Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB).
