BEIJING: Chinese property prices in 70 cities rose 12.4% in May from a year earlier, down from a record 12.8% increase in the year to April, the National Bureau of Statistics reported on Thursday, June 10.
Property prices rose 0.2% month-on-month, compared with a 1.4% increase in April, the NBS said.
Real estate investment grew 38.2% in the first five months from a year earlier, it said.
