Datuk Shaharudin Ali confirmed to theedgemarkets.com via an audio message that he received a letter dated yesterday from High Court judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan informing that the court would not call up the case file or proceed to hear the revision.

This follows the Federal Court three-member bench led by Court of Appeal president Datuk Rohana Yusuf upholding the Court of Appeal’s decision on the matter after it denied JMB Menara Rajawali and Denflow Sdn Bhd permission to appeal the decision.

Datuk Shaharudin Ali filed the revision application, with a certificate of urgency, at the High Court registry today.

Lead Deputy Public Prosecutor in the trial, Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, said he intends to initiate the proceedings because an article quoting Najib in March contained serious allegations.

Riza, who is the stepson of the accused, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, will be added to the witness list.

The three named by deputy public prosecutor Faten Hadni Khairuddin are Kee Kok Thiam, Tan Vern Tact and Geh Choh Hun, who are the 16th, 17th and 18th respondents in the forfeiture case.

The monies are part of the RM31 million sought by the prosecution and government from Riza along with Najib, his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and 15 others including from Low Taek Jho's mother.
