The suit by YHA Travel and Tours (M) Sdn Bhd was filed at the Sessions Court here on Nov 2 last year, through Messrs Fong Yap & Gan, on the grounds that Azmin, who is Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry, owes the travel agency for bills incurred by trips including his much-publicised Sandakan visit during the by-election there last year.

Bringing a close to the trial, High Court Judge Justice Mohamed Zaini Mazlan set the dates for prosecution and defence lawyers to give their submissions before the court.

Magistrate Mohamad Aizat Abdul Rahim meted out the sentence against Ahmad Saiful, 32, saying that the prosecution had succeeded in proving that the case was beyond reasonable doubt before the court.
