MRCB closes 2018 lower on absence of disposal gain, re-timing of LRT3 job

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 27): Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB), whose largest shareholder is the Employees Provident Fund, closed out 2018 on a low note on absence of one-off disposal gains recognised in 2017, and slowing down of construction work on the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) project undertaken by its 50%-owned unit MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd.

MRCB: LRT3 works to resume in 2H2019

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 29): Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) said yesterday it has received a letter of acceptance from Turnpike Synergy Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd, to accept MRCB's offer to undertake Package CA2 of the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) project at RM323 million.

MRCB-George Kent not seeking any compensation from Prasarana, govt

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 18): MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd, the turnkey contractor for the Light Rail Transit Line 3 Bandar Utama-Johan Setia (LRT3), will not be seeking any compensations from either Prasarana Malaysia Bhd or the government, following the "remodeling" of the project delivery partner (PDP) contract into a fixed price contract for the LRT3 project.
