Najib defends authenticity of 'donation' letters

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 18): It is not unheard of for staff to sign letters on behalf of their employers, said former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak (pictured) yesterday in a Facebook post as he defends the authenticity of several letters, purportedly from Saudi royalty, that he claimed were proof that the US$972 million that went into his AmBank account were personal donations to him.

Tony Tiah fails in takeover bid for TA Enterprise

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 13): Datuk Tony Tiah Thee Kian, who launched a mandatory takeover offer (MGO) for TA Enterprise Bhd at 66 sen per share in July, has failed to garner the required acceptance from minority shareholders which would have given him control of over 50% of the total voting shares in the group.
