Joint working committee mooted to resolve Taman Rimba Kiara development

PETALING JAYA (Nov 24): The Federal Territories (FT) Ministry will talk to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan (YWP) about setting up a joint working committee with Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) residents to find a solution for a high-rise, high-density development in Taman Rimba Kiara (TRK) that has sparked outrage in the community, reported The Star.

Govt should promote rent-to-own concept to boost homeownership

  KELANA JAYA (Nov 13): The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) should take the initiative to work with the private sector to promote the rent-to-own concept or other alternatives to encourage homeownership without over-stretching the finances of individuals instead of increasing affordable housing supply, said Socio-Economic Research Centre (SERC) executive director Lee Heng Guie.
